Bread for Life Community Food Pantry, Inc.

Volunteering at the Bread for Life Community Food Pantry

New Volunteers are sought, greatly appreciated and welcomed to join our caring staff of about 60 people from more than 10 area churches. In an average week about 25 volunteers will work about 185 hours during our 3 distribution days and 1 shelving day. Some only work a few hours, while others work many shifts on several days. All are appreciated and all are very necessary to provide food to around 255 families every week. The pace of the work will vary, rarely very slow, usually quite busy. In a 5 hour shift we often sort, pack and distribute over 3,500 pounds of food, thatís almost 2 tons. At the end of your shift you will probably be tired; you surely will be blessed and rewarded.

Call 693-2825 or email bfl@bflpantry.com to Volunteer

You will be added to our weekly email list. On Fridays, Joan Gattuso, our Administrative Assistant will send you a staffing list for the next week. It shows weekly operations at the pantry, assigned volunteers and vacancies that need filling. You may then call or email Joan to volunteer for one or several shifts.
