Hopefully, we did our last drive-thru distribution today in the Newington Baptist Church parking lot. By the time we got to the last car, we only had a few dinner rolls and some bacon. It was a really hot day, but the volunteers did what they could to stay in the shade. It was so hot that it brought down the wi-fi connection in the parking lot, so the people checking clients in had to go back to pencil and paper. So we’re not really sure how many people we served, but it was quite a few.
